What have I missed with the niggle comments aimed in our direction? Anyway I thought the ref had a good game and did well to handle the game especially when it got to the point where Leigh wanted to fight our players after an offside decision. It was quite bizzare how they totally lost their heads but luckily in the 2nd half we reverted to form and giving away penalty after penalty.

SG mentions some in the middle were lucky to keep their place based on recent past performances.

Maybe the result last week made him stick with them and It would appear that Huddersfield had no one to offer us this week because of their fixture list so not sure who he could have brought in anyway and was more or less was forced to stick with them?

Everyone can see where the problem is and get frustrated why there aren't changes made.

What options are there?

We have no one to bring into the pack from our own squad because of injuries to Ben Kav, Elliott Morris and Sion Jones and Tommy Lee needs a couple of weeks to get up to pace.

We had no one to bring in from DR because no one was available.

That means we're left with the same ones doing the same things the same way with the same results.

If there's a realistic alternative with the funding we have say what it is.

Under Grix, there are no two performances the same. Although I wasn't there, today was clearly abject. Words fail how shameful that second half must have been, to concede 10 points off penalities to 12 men doesn't make logical sense. Discipline is diabolical. As I have said before, the plight of our discipline is either lack of fitness, lack of coach oversight to understand where the issues are or a combination of both.

Money or lack thereof is for me, not a fundamental issue. There are countless examples in league and other sports of coaches who get teams to perform beyond expectations, with limited budgets etc. We did have a guy who did that for the most part in four seasons. I feel for Grix as he clearly is frustrated but this is his team whom he has built has of yet failed to get to perform, irrelevant of last week. I'll say it again, his whole dynamic about this year was starting better than previous seasons. The playing resources we have and with Tommy Lee coming in has close to 750+ games worth of superleague experience. Will be surprised if we sneak a win against London. Not sure when enough is enough but find it very difficult to defend our position right now. We are going backwards rapidly. I thought we built some real stability on and off the field over the last couple of seasons but that quickly is going south. Geeking out but we've won 7 of 22 league games with Grix. Relegation form.

We wont have a better chance to beat Leigh than this.

In my opinion our pack is not strong enough this season. We lack the grunt and go forward of a Calahane or someone who can break a tackle like Tangata. Not sure why we didn't look for players down under.

We are making far too many basic errors and giving penalties away. Something has to change or attendances will dwindle. Not about money we can still cut out errors and be workmanlike completing sets. We aren't giving ourselves a chance.

Good morning GFB.

I clearly made 'niggle comments' about both sides. I'm not sure what started it all, but players were 'coming together' at any and every opportunity. I thought our discipline was appalling in the first half - I don't know why that was. I don't think the ref did a particularly good job of keeping both teams apart, after the tackle, but I can't think of any ref who could have stopped the aggro that was constantly on the bubble.

Everyone understands where the issue is especially SG, which is the same players turning out exactly the same poor performance each week.
It's them giving the penalties away, getting run over down the middle when defending and hardly being able to break a tackle going forward not SG.
They've been told, he's told them, they know it and either can't change or won't change.
In this scenario the coach would normally force the changes so why hasn't he.
SG gave the answer and said.
"It's not like we can go to the supermarket and buy what we want."
That was the case in preseason recruitment and is the case now, when players are performing they play when they're not they get dropped, so again what options has he to leave some sitting in the stands?
Who have we got currently in the squad to replace them with?
No one.
Who can we afford to bring in who's available and any better?
No one.
Who was available on DR?
No one.
Unlike us who can basically say what we want SG has to restrain himself in being critical of his players when commenting in interviews and in public.
Unlike us he's living it, breathing it, thinking about it every day whilst still trying to fix it with his hands tied behind his back to some extent.

RM did a great job in what he achieved but he would have done an even better job with more funding because he would have brought in better players.
Every team in this division who have made progress in the past and are at the top now have had the most money to spend and the better DR arrangement both equating to more better quality players to choose from.
Funding isn't the be all and end all but for Fax in the current situation it just means we are less likely to be able to make the necessary changes.
