Wonder how we will play this one ?

Will we go for it ?

Will we take the opportunity to give some players some game time ? Doubtful if Ta’ai and Gaskell will play after an injury on such a short turn around which creates some opportunity although Matagi would be a natural replacement.

Hopefully SW doesn’t do a Rick Stone and play a very inexperienced side I still blanch at that 80 mins against Swinton.

On what we have seen this season so far we can give anyone a game and our tenacity might do very well in a sudden death cup tie and given a decent draw or two who knows ?

Bearing in mind the Wigan loan players won’t want to be cup tied they may be right down to the bare bones?

Be interesting to see the squads tomorrow.

For me we need to go with the best side we can field, usually when you start to think you can take things easy something comes back to bite you. The Wolfpack have shipped some points no doubt about it, but they are far from the worst team i have seen. We need to take this very seriously , we have lost to some lowly sides in our time. IMO try to rack some points up, besides which i could do with another trip to Wembley.

Me personally, I'd rather put our focus on the Hull game, the league is a huge focus for us at the moment, so I'd rather we give some of the fringe lads a run out and see how they cope against a desperate toronto team

6 more wins at least and we will be safe. A decent cup run will do our confidence good- for me saying we should focus on the league gives the players the wrong message about the confidence in their ability to continue this run of form.
I would play Full strengt II h squad barring injuries, Russell for gaskell and walne for taai. Holmes on the bench to give OB a rest.
Darnell, wood, wardle JT Jerry, , Russell, sezer, matagi, OB, gavet, Edwards, wardle, Lawrence,
English, walne, Clough holmes

go for it why shouldnt we aim for a trip to wembley, we've got a good enough squad and surely a good cup run will give the team confidenc for the league dont forget the final is july this year so still plenty of time to get to wembley and a decent league position

No cup win since 1953 too long for a club with our heritage we not going to win Super League but an outside chance in this if Sezer stays fit Ken deserves it let’s hope the players believe it would be our greatest day to bring the cup back to the George hotel !

Holmes deserves to start at s/o after his display Friday would be a waste for him just to replace O’Brien for 15 mins however you could spell OB with a Holmes and move Turner to S/O and Murphy to centre for 15 minutes Turner has played s/o at Saints and Hull or play Russell from the bench

That’s a lot of disruption to give OB a 15 minute rest. Forced due to injury in game yes, - but I wouldn’t do all that to spell OB. OB needs more than 15 minutes, he’s played 80 every week and it’s a quick turn round. You can visibly see him tire at the end of games.
Holmes did well at SO but I understand that’s not where he’s earmarked to play.
