I'm struggling to really see the downside of Sunday KOs. And even if it is true that Friday night gates average higher than Sunday games, maybe that's because Friday night games have become the norm, so people are adjusting their habits and behaviour to suit? Maybe if Sunday games were more common, crowds would grow?

I don’t mind Sunday games but I do like the Friday/Saturday night games (even though the latter tend to be rather than rocking horse dung these days). A good mix of both is best IMO. First and foremost though we need to sack off Thursday night games.

There is a reason that the only fan-survey that I know of threw out Friday night as the best time to play games. (If there was a more recent one, it was not very well advertised).
And as for "alright for those who do not work" - Garbage. I work until 5:30 or 6pm most days and still make the match just fine. If it's away at Hull, etc. then I just finish a little early by starting an hour earlier.
Friday night travel = lower crowds... Nope. Sundays (apart from Wakey and Cas, where it is still traditional) get lower attendances across the board.
And as for television, etc. - That only affects the Thursday games (which I personally hate).
Right now, it feels like IFL trying to get more people to hang around in the fan-zone before and after the game, to get a bit more money in, by using Sundays to allow a bit more time.
So now we know, doing the shopping on a Sunday is now more important than watching Rugby League in spite of shops and supermarkets being open more than they use to be and what's the problem with doing the shopping on the tradition day of Saturday, unless of course you are also a football supporter
It was also traditional for Wigan and other clubs in the days of Central Park and also other clubs until Sky came on the scene and geared people to their way of thinking or should I say game scheduling.
