That's the problem with most who post on here....fickle.

It was workmanlike performance with a couple of well worked tries.

Penalty count down and good ball control.

2 out of 3 league games still wont be good enough for some on here

So for the moaners on here do one to miserable set of twots

Solid win. Suprised personally. The jury is still out for me; if we can compete against Leigh and London, maybe even sneak a win then more vindication for Grix.

Some people had a few shandys on here by the looks. Im not sure fickle really applys as most people on here are Fax supporters and have been for many many years but each is entitled to an opinion, so if you are going to offer an opinion when we play bad then surely its only right to offer an opinion when we play well?

Its hard to judge as he has always been picked when available and lets face it we have not won all that many games with him in the team(Im not blaming him alone for that for the silver lining crew  ).

I always think from what ive seen RCS would offer more in ability wise at the moment but Scott has obviously got the experience but that goes back to a bit of strange recruitment in that we sacked off the reserves but kept a handful that Grix clearly does not rate, I mean we have just lost a hooker but kept a lad from the reserves, Grix yesterday saying he will look to bring in another hooker. The other twin, and Jones would have to see major injuries to the squad before they get much game time this season and Connor Mcgrath is Eddie Riddleston so would it have been better as we are using DR to have got rid of those 4 or 5 we seemingly kept on sentiment and maybe brought in 2 or 3 who would actually put pressure on the main squad?

York were poor yesterday. I can not see them been anywhere near top 4. Grix as stated we are looking for another hooker 1,6,7,9 should be our own players so does this mean the new Halfback on loan is bot going to be getting a game.

Thought the young hooker went well yesterday tbf but is not yet ready

Be interested to get post match comments from the likes of Uptonfax when lose and play badly instead of silence....Thought we were pretty good yesterday and played with a higher level of intensity, which we need to maintain in each game. We're getting nothing from refs at moment but 3 penalties on last tackle again is plain stupid. He also managed to chalk off what would have been a great try for an imaginary shepherd...

A couple of noteworthy things away from the performance and result, a big  and :thumb:

1.) The supporters trust team and those contributing in raising another £5,000 to go towards the players fund.

2.) The ground staff for getting the pitch in such good condition after all the adverse weather of late.

Great win against what looks like a good York team on paper. Perhaps it was a good time to play York as they have started slowly.
Still think we lack some grunt and guile from dummy half but not a bad start.
Charlie knows

A couple more match stats for what they’re worth.

The attendance of 1430 was the highest in the Championship.

The penalty count was 12 - 5 against Fax which was also the highest negative bias in the Championship.

In fact out of SL, Champ and Champ 1 only Toronto with 20 against had a worse penalty count.

Just info, make your own conclusions on both.
