Yet a handful of games into the new season you've already been shown to be well wide of the mark and are already calling for Radford to be handed his p45.
Your predictions were always ludicrous. Those players you acquired were never going get you up there competing with the Wigans and St Helens of this world. For your current side to compete with them they'd have fall down a few levels. Nothing wrong with a bit of optimism but some prospective rather than rash predictions was always needed.
I aren't sure about social media, no doubt there were people getting carried away. But on here most people had us around 4th or 5th I think.
My opinion since the end of last year (and I said this on the VT predictions thread if you want to dig it up) is that the squad is plenty good enough to compete and maybe even win things, but as long as Radford is in charge it will be another wasted opportunity and we will finish 5th or 6th.

The predictions from Hull fans were similar to those from fans of other clubs.

Fans from other teams were predicting Hull to do better than what our own fan base was. Most our fans realised that despite the team looking good on paper there is still question marks over the coach. Top 4 was the main consensus on here which isn't at all ludicrous based on the last 3 seasons finishes. At least that's the case on this site anyway. I don't take much notice of what people put on Facebook.

dont want to be just challengers for the top 5 we want to be in the top two and with this squad we should be. its a change in coaching we need

But therein lies the problem as he just doesn’t seem to have the ability to do just that. This isn’t something that’s new this season it’s an issue that has been going on for the past few seasons. 5 games in to another fresh start but the self same issues are staring us all in the face. Everything other than LR has been changed and yet the same old problems are still there and repeated each week. If it were just down to the players then with all the new recruits it wouldn’t be happening but it still is.
Lee has had his time and chances to put thing right with the backing of AP but sadly it is clear he does not have the answers to correct things.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!
Hes needed to go for a long time. The cup wins were great but even in2016 and 2017 we underperformed and the league was there for the taking both years but we failed.
Today was woeful and so similar to so many performances 7nder radford. It's no longer a question of if hell go but when.
Let's hope we make the right appointment to replace him
