Long gone are the days when games kicked off at 8.05 PM and finished about 10.05PM Because of all the stoppages

That Wigan Warrington game involved a red card, yellow card and a lengthy stoppage for someone who was knocked out. Hardly the comparison

I reckon the best way to speed up games is the record them and then watch them on the first fast forward setting. Works a treat.
