Well the finer detail seems to have changed a bit since I posted this morning. Leeds sign Evans permanently and loan him to us for the season. I can’t decide if it hinders us by taking away a loan spot on a player we started the year with or if it helps us if Leeds are paying his wages for us now.
I can’t see it being done out of kindness from Leeds and I expect to soon see Leeds announcing Doyle for next year or someone else promising.
Now we are told that it was a permanent deal, and therefore he can be loaned back to us. Obviously if it wasn't a permanent deal there would be no need for a loan from Leeds - he would just be sent back here to see out his contract.
I'm not saying it is on a Marc Green-level so far as untruths, but once again we aren't being told the full story.
Well, again, it's one of those occasions where the supporters haven't been told the truth

Sounds similar to the Briscoe movements - player signs on loan from Champ club to Leeds, shortly after signs permanent contract but is then loaned (DRd) back to Champ club....

Rhys Evans did sign on loan for Leeds. I believe they only signed him recently so they could loan him out to keep him match fit. Bulls were given first offer on him.

Maybe our use of his services this season was the transfer fee?
He was out of contract at the end of the season, and his contract had the usual 'if an SL club comes in etc' so, on that basis, it was probably the best outcome for us? I know we had to allow him to leave but no-one said we had to allow him to go for nothing.
