I think heart is ruling head here.
The basis of him becoming our CEO is based around glory day when he was our coach. Two totally different jobs! And, of course, two totally different eras.
I wouldn't diss on his coaching at all - but its irrelevant at this stage. I base my judgment on him as a potential CEO on the one CEO job that he's had - with Toronto Wolfpack. And his record there is to spend a boatload of someone else's money to batter everybody at Championship and Leave 1 level, and then arrive into SL with complete lack of planning and foresight, having spent all the cap money on too few players. As a result, Toronto are in with a fair chance of getting relegated - simply due to his inability to plan ahead and spend the right amount of money on the right players.
Does that sound like someone qualified to run our club right now? To me, it sounds like absolutely the last thing we need!

Another one who doesn't know the circumstances. He was Director of Rugby not CEO. If you had read his book you would have recognised his potential to be a CEO of a Club, or at least had the opportunity. And yes I've known Brian for 30 years and he is a frend before you ask?

You say he was responsible for employing Players, not true very few coaches gan employ a player without full board approval. A coach asks for a Player he wants, and the Board then decides if the Club can afford that Player. Get your facts before commenting.

Bizarre argument that McNamara was the one who really coached the team (which has been doing the rounds for years). Cos McNamara did a great job when he took over. Look at the team he inherited and the signings he made before we went downhill and tell me he couldn’t have done better.
Well said: Im sickened by the vitrolous comments from some posters. It's a disgrace that the so called pundits can come out with such trashy comments about someone who has given so much to the game, and to Northern/Bulls over many years. The man who began the stupid recuitment was the new bloke brought in by Peter Hood, Macca I assume had no choice, and neither did Nobby it was either stay and accept this bloke coming into the Club and him taking a backward step. What would all these critics on here done?? I've lost all respect for some of them.

The lack of knowledge from the owners and investors at Toronto was clearly the reason that Brian Noble was employed. Do you really think that David Argyll had a clue who most of the Toronto squad were before they were signed?
Anyway, you've already said - Brian Noble is your mate. You're hardly likely to give an unbiased opinion! I've got my opinion, and clearly you have yours. Let's leave it there eh?

This is a message board where people will air their opinions. Stop taking things so personally, you are never going to agree with everything that is being said on here.
Sometimes it's best not to come back to where you were a legend. Leon Pryce and Jimmy Lowes etc. Nobby has nowt to prove and actually I'm not sure he's what we need right now anyway.
