What constitutes a carry? Is a carry only a carry if the carrier is tackled? If so, why don’t the carries of one team equal the tackles of the opposing team? I accept offloading comes into it but I can’t understand Saints having 96 first half carries but the roosters making many more tackles.

Every carry counts
But each tackler that is involved in the tackle get one.
So I would guesstimate average 2 tackles per carry I.e. dou keep the tackles to the Carries
