We don't have any highly paid South Sea islanders available, that's the problem.
I think Sao will likely be the only overseas player in our pack on Sunday.

Bowden Taylor Houghton Shaul Fash Lane that’s six born in ull who have played this year, and will probably if fit, play on Sunday, can you match our six and raise us with six born in Wigan, on Sunday?

Totally agree, you and saints are the model to follow.
But let's not pretend you dont rely on overseas players 2 of your best players are overseas players and you have a 2nd rate overseas player in Clarke on your books.

And perhaps the idea of a competitive reserve comp, will also bring youth and sustainability into our game

I wouldn’t say we rely on them. 2018 we won the GF with zero Australians in the team. First team to ever do it
RICHARDS IS SUPERMAN!!!!

I aren't blaming the club for anything. If we knew in advance that he was available for the Rovers game and just didn't select him then that's fair enough. And if we didn't realise he was available then I still don't really blame the club because this seems to go against what the operational rules say. I hope we are challenging it though.
He was, I thought it strange at the time that the reserve disciplinary comes out after the friday night game 21 man squads, especially as you are penalised an interchange for changing the squad after its announced.
Looking at the Wigan board and their predicted team, I think one thing that's for sure is that they aren't going to have anything like the size in their pack that Saints had.
Even if we end up with worst case scenario injury wise, our starting pack is pretty imposing (Taylor, Sao, Jones, Griffin, Ellis). If we can start strongly and lay a good early platform then we might be able to ride out the periods where the bench players are on the field. Radford needs to be smarter about how he uses his subs though. We could really do with a little bit of good news injury wise. Even if just Faraimo and Savelio are back that would make a big difference.

Agreed, Faraimo and Savelio back would be big boosts, we also need a much improved kicking game. Wigan starts as favourtites I think but we have a fair chance.

No, the ban didn't take effect until the weekend just gone so it would have made no difference had be played in the derby, he'd still be banned for the Saints and Wigan games.
