After rewatching the game the Savelio 'no try' he looks to be in line when the kick is made as his front foot is level with Sneyds and actually slightly behind the ball. Thought those 2 decisions were dire and can't say I was impressed with Hicks particularly. Its about time the Try/No Try call is got rid of and if the ref is unsure he simply hands the call to the video ref who then can adjudge yes or no without any preempting.
Livett's try was a joke, never down and potential double movement, but the real alarming one for me was the farce on half time which Hicks also sent up as a try despite a blatant offside and then a knock on into an offside player in the build up. Houghton (I think) came across and asked how on earth it had been sent up as a Try and Hicks replied to him "that's my decision mate I haven't seen it". Well that's reassuring isn't it, missed the incident entirely, send it up as a try anyway!
Kendall then had one look at the kick chase, which showed Ellis was miles offside as suspected. He then seems to ignore that without a second look and goes into several super slow mo of the blatant knock on, with Phil Clarke gleefully screaming "well there's insufficient evidence there to disallow it". I think they came reasonably close to awarding that despite two or three things obviously wrong with it. When stuff like that is going on you've got to look at the system.

It was a farce. I sometimes think they cannot wait to give a try against us.
Everybody could see he was offside...but just ignore and see if we can make a offside/knock-on a try anyway. That on top of a try that was never grounded.
Whoever stands by a just cause and fights for the freedom and liberation of his land from the invaders, the settlers and the colonialists, cannot possibly be called terrorist."
Ellis was offside when the kick went in but the kicker ran on ahead of Ellis and put him back onside. If you are going to complain about reffing then make sure you actually know the rules that you are complaining about. It was a knock on anyway so it's irrelevant.
The Livett one was very frustrating though. No way that reached the ground. For any part of that ball to touch the grass it would have needed to be as wide as it is long.
The Connor penalty in the first half when he played the ball with the rovers player all over him. He gave a knock on, watched it again on tv no knock in in a million years.
Its decision after decision wheras your scratching your head. When will their be accountability for his performances
The one before half time was ridiculous. Worrying to think that if it wasnt on TV it would have been given. Clear offside and everyone in the ground saw it but hicks
