IMO the teams have different agendas this year. For rovers its keeping away from the bottom which I think they will. For us it's a top 4/5 finish again which I hope we will do. I think you may turn Leeds over at the weekend. Big test for us. Just glad the rugby is up and running

I watched the game again last night and tried to watch it objectively.
I wouldn't say it was quite as simple as Hull's size and power vs Rovers' free flowing rugby, but Hull were definitely more direct in their approach. We looked to set a platform before getting it to Sneyd and Connor who were mostly looking for the second rows and centres to run a nice line for them. We did try to play rugby, it wasn't just 5 drives and a kick, but it was all quite compressed, we didn't get the wingers involved very much at all.
Rovers tried to move the ball a lot. The problem with that is that if you don't go forward first and draw in some defenders it's very hard to break a team down like that. Other than the tries you scored you didn't have us scrambling too often. We broke the line more often than you did.
The missed penalty was a big moment of course, but none of us have a crystal ball so it's impossible to say what would have happened afterwards.
Both teams played to their strengths and it was a very entertaining game. In the end Hull's quality shone through, but you should take a lot of positives from the game too.
