Their 'wonder try' had two forward passes at the beginning of it it too

The crazy thing is that Hicks called it a "try" when he couldn't possibly have been sure. So the video ref was never in a position to overrule.
Even crazier, the radio Humberside commentators (who I think do a good job tbh) all said Hicks had a great game, allowing the game to "flow".
If allowing the game to flow means ignoring offsides, forward passes and dodgy play the balls, then something is going drastically wrong.

Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?

We did what we had to do and win, might not have been champagne rugby but winning is what matters. Rovers played expansive Rugby because they had to ,they had nothing to lose most including there own had them down for a big loss. Everyone knew what they would do but did it work ..No Has the season progresses Rovers will falter they will not keep it up,a few more losses and heads will drop system will change and they will finish bottom 4 dotn think they will go down that will be T
oronto

Clean breaks

FC made twice as many clean breaks as their rivals, shared out between Griffin, Connor (both three) and Savelio (two).

Minikin made two clean breaks for Rovers, with Crooks and Minchella each breaking FC's defensive line once.

says enough for me...

I think the Dobbins struggled to get out of their own half when we didn’t give them penalties to piggy back them downfield.
They struggled to contain us when we stuck to our game plan for any period of time.
Also think their high energy game will catch up with them eventually, and some losses will follow.

When we play with a bit of aggression and the crowd got behind the team we just went through Rovers like butter, it only happened a couple of times on Friday. Seemed to just plod along for most of it, 2 game in 6 days though this early in the season and 9 days to prepare for Saints though should do us good. Better to have a little reality check and still win!

It shows just how important on field discipline is.
We were back to our usual indiscipline which cost us dearly last season draining the team of energy with having to do so many tackles.
total contrast to the game at Leeds.
If we get our discipline right with few errors and a good completion rate we will beat anybody in this league

Agree that we gave too many penalties away. The biggest issue for Rovers on the face of it is their missed tackle count. An average of 44 per game so far against a Wakefield side missing pretty much their full starting pack, and a side they believe is inept, dull and will be largely ineffective must be addressed for their top 5 goal to be achieved..

There is no issue with having cofidence, but statements like that will get us accused of arrogance, which we have no right to be.
