Fighting on the grass embankment after the game was pathetic. Drunk Rovers fans causing trouble on the footbridge afterwards was equally pathetic. Had the same after the game last good Friday. Not saying FC don’t have their fair share of idiots either who can’t behave. Just sick of idiots who can’t go to a game without drinking to excess behaving like total idiots. Really don’t know if I can be ar$ed to go to the next one.

To be honest it was always going to a difficult game with a short turn round after playing on that sodden pitch at Headingley. Rovers plan was always going to be to get the ball wide at the earliest opportunities to try and nullify our threat down the middle. I think in the end they started to tire by the 3/4 period which enabled us to get in front. I thought Livetts try should have been 'no try' as it was clearly grounded short and then lifted up to reach over therefore a double movement for one but he didnt get it down either. After rewatching the game the Savelio 'no try' he looks to be in line when the kick is made as his front foot is level with Sneyds and actually slightly behind the ball. Thought those 2 decisions were dire and can't say I was impressed with Hicks particularly. Its about time the Try/No Try call is got rid of and if the ref is unsure he simply hands the call to the video ref who then can adjudge yes or no without any preempting.
All in all another performance where they did enough to win but certainly a lot more needed for Saints. Don't think Swift did enough to stay in the 17 either. Griffin has earnt his spot at centre for next week as he has been a handful for both Leeds and Rovers so far. Thought the interchanges were also a bit of a mess to be honest and not used very well. Don't know if it was my imagination but felt with Danny back at 9 we seemed to slower than with Johnstone.
Next week will be a real acid test as St's will certainly want to make amends for being beaten and nilled but Warrington showed they can be stopped and beaten
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!
shame there was trouble after the game, most could be easily prevented if the smc/stewards stopped allowing fans to take bottles of beer out of the ground, saw plenty of kr fans coming out with them and no doubt there will have been fc fans doing the same

Good summary Chris, Danny and Swifty looked a little rusty, but I suppose after long absences it’s understandable, perhaps Swifty past associations with Saints will keep him in.
