Great Sunday afternoon day out. Savelio the pick of the bunch for me, really impressive, Ratu is quality. Don’t get the need to put Griffin in the 2nd row, he’s a class really dangerous centre with awesome stats, unless his form dips, he’s first choice at centre for me

Griff will never make a decent SL centre. bonaire confirmed it a while back.

You missed the part when i added that he will make a good running second row. I think Radford agrees with that because once Fonua is fit Griffin will go onto the bench as a second row replacement and also cover any injury in the backs.

I'm all for a bit of love and peace this season although you aren't denying what I said. Nobody is a shoo-in for set positions including Mahe. Radders knows a lot better than me and you so I'll leave the gig to him

No one should be an automatic shoe in for the 17 this season no matter who they are even Fonua.
I agree Chris, Griff is a real menace in the centre, and there’s a bit more fuel left in him, Radders has said he’d move into the pack, but boy we have some great options now, and with Albert Danny and Mahe to come in, Radders problem is keeping them all happy.

With Griffin though its about what's best for the team, not necessarily what is his best position. Had we not signed Fonua then it's a no brainer to keep picking Griffin at centre. But we have 3 quality players in Fonua, Griffin and Carlos and the team is better if we can find a way to accommodate all of them imo.
All of the stuff that's good about Griffin would still be applicable if he was at second row. He pretty much plays like a second row already. Making space for his winger isn't a strong suit. He runs good lines, is hard to tackle and has a good engine. That sounds a lot like a second row to me.
It's a tough call, so however Radford decides to play it I won't complain. But if it was down to me Griffin would be the bench second rower who is also there to cover the backs.

On recent form, Griffin doesn't deserve to be sat on the bench as cover. We need him on the field.
