I apologise here but I have to blow smoke into Myler here, he looked completely different complementing Gale. Gale added the bit we’ve been missing, direction! I thought young Johnson stood up well and is good enough. Ward showed why he should be Captain and adds so much. Again I apologise I ain’t Cam’s biggest fan but he reminded me a bit of O’Loughlin style play and hopefully this is his kick up to get better now. Again I understand it was only a friendly but it was good to see everyone take it seriously! All round good team performance.

Every time Smith plays his natural role he excels. Problem is successive coaches have rarely done that. Given the chance, he is better than Knowles at Saints, who is also an excellent player for them. They backed their player though, and allowed him to develop in his natural role. The link provided yesterday to the halfs, is what made them excel. Took the pressure off them, and gave them space.

Big fan of Smith, He's a highly skilled 13 with good enough physicality, if he's allowed to play that role regularly, he'l show what a good player he is.

Big year for Cam. Hes got the ability, i sometimes question his attitude. We need to start seeing some consistency from him and to do that he needs a run of games.
Hes still young and people forget that but hes at a time in his career where he needs to be playing more regularly but i think that will come down to him.
The ability is there for sure. Merrin going might open up a door for him, lets hope he can take it if it does.

Completely agree mate id also say its last chance saloon for L.Sutty to cement a spot because BR/Centre is covered by some genuine quality youngsters who imo will cement spots in the 17 in the next 18mths/2yrs. The likes of Walters Broadbent A.Sutty Hall Muzzy etc will all push for places.

Been saying that regards Liam Sutcliffe for last couple of years at least. Personally think it will be just more of the same from him. He needs to move on and find himself at another club imo, if he is ever going to do so that is.

Whilst no works beater I think you're flexibility means he's an asset in the match day 17 most matches. He allows us a certain amount of coffee in the backs without having a specialist back on the bench.
He may not be our greatest player, but he seems to have something that the last few coaches value
