If that is the case (which i don't doubt) it could come back to haunt us, Connor has a big enough ego as it is without getting to pick his squad number.

Rovers are looking for a marquee player, maybe this is just part of the master plan.

Some of the overseas players like specific numbers, so that might have something to do with a couple of the choices

Carlos and Fonua will be the starting centres even though i do like Connor at right centre with Ratu.
I like the depth of squad we have but can see problems with one or two players who will not be prepared to accept reserve team rugby

Thats harsh given his injuries.
When attacking with ball in hand he puts fear into opposition defences and he defends like a forward.
Kelly anyday for me at half back.
We all know Connor has talent but the shirt number allocated has probably been done to try and stop him sulking rather than first choice half back.
Said previously i like Connor at right Centre with Ratu but still dont see him starting unless we have injuries.
Unless he knuckles down can see him moved on next season.

Fully agree. For all the new signings, Kelly is the game changer in our squad.

Last year when Kelly played a lot of the time we looked top 3
A lot of the time when he didn't we looked relegation fodder

I'm torn...I can see this team could really suit Shaul but having Kelly Connor sneyd all on the field would offer so much more attack threat...
Shaul played similar amount of the year or more than Kelly and Connor and had less influence on the yr
For a team top four and chance of second till late 6 tries and 4 assists (10total involments) all year is horrendous
If by Easter he's anything less than great I'd be planning 2021 recruitment around fullback

Fullback my only issue stopping my truly thinking silverware. Seen too many games when forwards matched or bettered to nulify Sneyd,and teams afford extra defenders to kelly as know theres nothing much else to threaten
No top team in world RL doesn't have it's star or near best player at fullback
