I think the comment about the London Broncos shirt is a valid one because we have systematically had our heritage removed since we moved to Twickenham in 2006.....we were permitted to have our shirts in the bar, but once the relationship went south when IL went North, then DH combined with the no-name/No-Catch admin ripped the Broncos legacy up.
If it was so important to "go back to the broncos name", then why not the old badge and the Blue/Red/Yellow colours of the past....why a new logo in an alien colour? Gus babbling on about "wearing the top down the pub" was straight out of some kids marketing essay in 4th form.

My Favourite shirt is the first one I bought in 2002 (3?)....

I agree though. The Fulham design is spot on for 40years (if not the badge)

Yes but that 30 years shirt wasn’t one the team played in was it?
It was like a heavyweight old style shirt designed as a kind of leisure top for the fans.
I also have a shirt like the one in your photo, I usually dig it out on the heritage day

Rise like Lions after slumber
In unvanquishable number--
Shake your chains to earth like dew
Which in sleep had fallen on you--
Ye are many -- they are few.'

I prefer the designs that are more in RL tradition or at least give a nod to it.

It's been agreed that the club needs an identity similar to that of Celtic, Liverpool, Newcastle Utd etc in that they may ever so slightly tweak a design but anyone, even an alien will know which club it is when they switch on the tv.

The Broncos are a million miles from being recognisable nationwide on tv however building a shirt identity that at the very least London people will start to recognise has to be the way forward therefore the Black with White/red chevron is unlikely to change year on year. Away shirts can pay homage to seasons gone by and summer bash/magic shirts will give those who like a different shirt what they want.

The club makes next to nothing from merchandise and hopefully the focus for those who don't want to buy a similar shirt year on year will become the training range, a jacket, or the away shirt.

It's one small part of the clubs focus on building a fan base from pretty much the lowest point it's been at. People in Ealing are starting to take notice and hopefully soon the crowds will be reflecting that.

Unlikely given we've dropped a division.

While i agree with you brand recognition is the way ahead, just not Black with red/white chevron. It wasnt an easy shirt to wear in 1980 despite all the headlines we made that season. Sadly mine shrank so much i only got a couple of seasons wear out of it. But i did wear it both to Fulham FC & RL matches. Or maybe i just got too fat.

I just think the brightness of the red/blue/yellow quarters would be far more marketable. Quins have shown over the last 150 years that quarters can be tweaked without losing brand recognition.

Don't have a problem with the heritage shirt, we had it in 2000 & 2010 so fair enough 2020 & 2030 if we are still in existence although i might not get to see it. But & its a big but, it is a Fulham shirt not a London Broncos shirt.

As for the other merchandise, i love my polo shirt from last season but less impressed with this season's effort.

That's the spirit. Might as well just merge with Skolars and tell the current fan base to find something else to do then.

That's not what was said. You've implied that the local attendees will increase (That's my assumption reading your post unless you are saying it will decrease). I'm suggesting its a harder sell given we will be playing the likes of Batley rather than Wigan

I may be wrong

25% of our core are also Skolars fans.......as for the good folk of ealing popping in for a cuppa and a game, I suspect the 900 average of 2018 is more likely than the 2k of 2019. I wonder if the club have considered giving the Toronto thing a go, with a beer garden down the far side of the pitch on a couple of matchdays in June/July? Plenty of breweries about and the Ealing CAMRA event was always well attended.....

I'm not convinced what league we are playing in is the biggest factor in attracting new fans. RL can be made into a good day out whatever the level assuming the effort is made.

Well that would fit with the traditional approach from Fulham/Crusaders/Broncis/Quins/Broncos towards their supporters.
