As the official site is looking back in time a bit at the moment, in the first part of a retrospective series on here I thought I would throw the question out. With hindsight and all else, what do you think the biggest mistake the club has made over, say, the last 20 years?

Peter Sharp may of been a nice bloke but he was an assistant promoted beyond his ability just like Agar and Gentle and you could argue Radford
As for biggest mistakes letting Cooke walk destroyed the club - he was on fire at the time and our whole attack was based around him - letting Watts leave is another blunder but not as big as Judas
Cooke leaving was the start of a downward spiral, most of the transfer business in that era was poor, apart from bringing in Willie Manu just about every transfer was a downgrade on what we had in 05/06.
The constant stream of past it or never been it, half backs was a joke.
Sharp should have got longer, Agar got too long.
And in relatively more modern times all the big money signings in 2013 flopped (except Ellis of course) such a high turnover of players wrecked the dressing room and the hype left the fans very disapointed.
