How is Ben McNamara doing? Seemed to be positive reviews for him previously?

So in comparison to Rovers it's not too shabby. In fact, in the context of overall budget vs the Big 4, and first team performance, particularly in the cup, you'd say we've done well. Rovers will need to keep the Hudgell multi millionaire tap on for another few years you feel to deliver on both fronts.

Yeah, it’s not remotely a like for like comparison but I did set a narrow window.

Tbf, Hull would ‘win’ even by a distance even if we did it properly.

Our track record looks a lot better if we include Alf Carmichael, Laurie Osbourne, Scrubber Dale and Jack Spamer.

It's true. In fairness AP took over around your 2012 marker when the teams were broadly at parity. .Not sure how many measures Rovers "win" on since, but that could be a nice chat.

Rovers have gone all out for their Academy, because they have had too. The old COHA , was basically Hull FC . Only Netherton left the set up for Rovers .
Academy and youth is very important, but imagine the meltdown on here if Hull FC had paid £100,000 for 5 young hopefuls?
That is a massive gamble.

It’s true. Seven more league wins over nine years and everything.

Funny how things can be both true and utter rubbish at the same time, innit? :)

Also I read they will be "training out of the best facilities in Super League with all kinds of support staff and expertise at thei fingertips". I think this means at the university. Crikey.

Rovers Academy and Scholarship will be training and playing out of Craven Park. As far as I am aware this has always been the intention. Fair play if you have heard different and turn out to be right. My money is on me.

That's not an accurate statement. The old COHA wasn't basically Hull FC (Nickolay and Faulkner came from Rovers).
Its more accurate to say that Hull FC is now the old COHA, minus Netherton.

Also Rovers didn't pay 100k for 5 hopefuls. We paid in excess of 100k for 3 hopefuls. Hull FC have offered decent money for young hopefuls this off season too.

Ah, must have been the first team then. We'll be seeing the pre season pics in the HDM in a week or two no doubt, probably some Sci fi recovery chambers and so on.
