While we've had an amazing season, as a Salford fan, nothing is taken for granted.
We played well tonight.
The best team in the comp V the overachievers for the GF. If we come with the same spirit and mentality it's gonna be a great game.
Ironically, it's the Saints away game which we lost by a whisker after putting thirty-odd points on them that turned our season around and gave the players the belief. Kind of fitting that it should bring them together for the last tango.

Wow...what a performance from Salford. I wasn't amazed that they won, but I was in how easy it looked. Good luck in the final, who knows what might happen ?

This is truly a dark day for European rugby league when a club that has less than 3,000 fans, based in an obscure location outside Manchester, can defeat a renowned, popular powerhouse like Wigan.
I have no doubt that the absence of Wigan's indefatigable French international prop Romain Navarette affected the result. The absence of experienced centre Daniel Sarginson might also have been relevant.
On the other hand without the NRL experienced Antipodean imports Jackson Hastings, Tuimoala Lolohea, Krisnan Inu and Kenneth Sio, the Salford Red Devils would have been languishing in last place in Super League, and would have been ripe for relegation.

Avignon for Championship in 2021, Super League in 2022!

It's a great day for European Rugby League!!!
Seeing the underdog go so well in sport is amazing to see. Everyone remembers an underdog story and it will probably now get more coverage world wide.
You could of put Navarette and Sarginson on the field and Wigan would of had no chance. Salford are well drilled, well coached and stick to the game plan every week.
I'm sure they will give Saints more of s game next week than what Wigan did last week.
