To be honest after reading his book, I can't imagine it much worst than the things he did at Saints, Wigan and whilst on tour, but he was younger then and made mistakes, same as other players like Watts, Ma'u etc. Players make mistakes, if he can improve us, I'd have him here, two other top clubs in both codes have emplyed him, so he must know what he is doing.
Having read the article it still doesn't change my mind and to me it looks like Long was very honest if a bit stupid if the whole situation, it was the cover up that was the problem.
3 people mentioned there have all gone on to be highly thought coaches in RL and RU.
So yes, I would still have him.

While it is a position the majority of posters on here will welcome, and with another coach being targeted as well, Kieron is quite a high profile addition, and let’s hope the equilibrium of the club, present staff, endorse the changes, and it proves to be a smooth and successful transition.
