That might explain why they're thinking about selling off all that exposed metalwork for scrap. I heard that from a bloke in the office who's been to Halifax once. But, no smoke without fire, right?

I think actually he's a pretty reasonable chap even if he is having some mischief here. I hope it's reassuring to notice that some other more weird examples of Fax fans are mysteriously not posting on here any more. For the avoidance of doubt anyone from any club who comes on here to tell us how funny it is when something bad happens to the club gets banned instantly.

I was in the three pigeons on Sunday (true story), and I'm sure the lady behind the bar was trying to tell me with her eyes that Fax are close to insolvency. I had a pint of mild (yeah weird I know) and the RFL instantly tweeted that it was a "poor decision".

We've been banned from signing players new or existing since the end of May.that sounds like special measures to me.can't see that changing until existing contracts are up or young players(storton/Milnes) are sold.

I think our club will come out and deny it pretty soon. Then the next step is special measures isn't it?

I wouldn't advocate any sort of denial too soon. It's better to disappear to New Zealand for a while and maintain total silence.

Well there's no smoke without fire. I saw Halifax Star Player as I was passing Odsal this morning. He was shaking the padlocks and looking confused.

People keep mentioning this and I can't see how its relevant. Existing contracts which aren't being renewed expire in November and any new ones start from November. There isn't any overlap so why does it affect next years spending plans, which players we have at moment who are leaving?
