Article in T and A said Grant but on Bulls website Grant was never mentioned.

This thread has got me completely baffled, so I tried to compare the info that AC posted in the T and A with the list of contract end dates on this board.
He lists the 14 players contracted for next year, although one of them (DFJ) has a contract end date of 2019. I assume AC has the correct info (what with being the club owner and all!).
There are 5 other players listed as having contracts that don't end until next year:
Stephenson
Culling
Foster
Vaznys
Scurr
Presumably these will form the basis of the Reserve Grade team, should we still be running one.
None of the above are necessarily chained to the club, of course. A realistic transfer offer, or a contract cancellation can see them move on, but lets assume for now that neither of these scenarios are on the horizon.
AC then reports that 6 players are leaving. Four to other clubs, Ryan, Garside, Wildie and Green, plus Bustin and Gibson released.
That leaves (by my reckoning], 14 players out of contract:
Rickets
Grant
Oakes
Evans
Hallas
Flanagan
Kirk
Peltier
Magrin
Milton
Wood
Gallagher
Cobi Green
Roche

Roche has finished his loan and, presumably, returned to the Giants. Milton has been widely reported to have left the game. Magrin and Green have spent periods out on loan and seem to have drifted away. There is a certain amount of confusion regarding the situations of Wood and Grant.
So who are the 9 that we are hoping to resign from this list?
You would assume that Oakes, Evans, Hallas, Kirk and Peltier are shoe ins? Possibly Flanagan. That leaves Rickets and Gallagher as "maybes". Which is 8 in total. Possibly the 9 includes a couple of new signings?
Either way, we need to come out of Special Measures asap.
All the above is merely my interpretation, happy to be corrected if it clarifies things.

Small point of order: York didn't use DR in 2019.

Sue me. Rather than writing out DR/loan market every time I tend to use DR as shorthand for both.
But I still think York used other clubs players very well over the course of the season

Has anyone actually got any rumours to post just to make things even slightly interesting.
At this time of year we are usually linked with loads of players but at the minute there seems to be absolutely nothing.

We need props. I’m fairly sure we’ll have at least had a chat with Annakin (sp?) but missed out.

And that's why we're in special measures. There's no reason for it other than to ensure that the Bulls in 2020 are weaker than 2019
