From the power of deduction I'm guessing we're looking to sign

Rhys Evans
Ross Oakes
Liam Kirk
Mikey Wood
Sam Hallas
George Flanagan
Ross peltier

As they're not in either list. Yeah I'm sick about the DR decision.

Is Dual-Reg such a bad thing?. The 4 teams above us have all used it this season.

I would prefer it didn't exist but as it does we should use it. DR players we're pivotal in our close losses at times this year. The field need to be level.

I would prefer no dual reg also, Leigh and Toulouse have used it well this year to cover any injuries where as we had to promote kids into the 1st team so needs must.

14 players and looking to sign 'up to nine' more - so a maximum squad size of 23. That's a paper-thin squad.

Clearly we are intending to heavily rely on Dual Reg given the likelihood of injuries /suspensions.

Any thoughts as to who the DR partner could be?

Wouldn't be surprised if DR is with Wakefield given kears past links. Dewsbury are ending their DR arrangement with them. Think Carter tends to leave playing side of things to coaches so his attitude towards us may not be a problem.

Squad looks thin but remember u19s is becoming u18s next year so presumably our reserves will be largely made up of upper age end of current u19s which could be drafted into first team. Special measures are aimed at first team signings so by leaving players in reserves rather than promoting them into first team may be a way at getting more bang for our buck in terms of budget RFL are allowing for first team.

Other point is I expect RFL are being as pessimistic as possible with our budget application and assuming there will be a big drop off in attendances. If our crowds hold up better than expected they will be forced to allow us to increase our budget as year goes on, as they did with leigh this year, allowing us to increase squad size as season progresses.

We've always had a good relationship with Castleford.

I can't see Hull KR, I mean Chalmers is likely not on Hudgell's Christmas Card list

That's if they are even in Super League next season
