Judging by how Kear’s used Bustin less and less since he arrived it suggests to me that he’s on his way. I agree he’s got potential but has he improved much since he signed? He’s ok going forward but IMO he lacks agility in defence. Some moan about Crossley in this way but Bustin is much worse. Bustin is 22 and I personally would keep him.
As for the others Kirk keeps improving and I’d definitely keep him. Peltier is ok but can be a defensive liability. Magrin doesn’t offer much.
If Green is let go with Magrin and Bustin and we bring in Hirst that leaves us a bit short IMO. Foster needs to step up, maybe Scurr too.

I'd be disappointed to lose Green as he has some real aggression. Agree overall out props have been disappointing. Crosskeys been caught out in defence numerous times. Maybe lowering his minutes might address this. Peltier runs are eye catching, but he's come up with a lot of errors this year.
I'd keep Bustin. He's only 21 and I think he's been mis-used in that we seem to play him in scorching hot days and wonder why he fatigues.

I think this season Bustin has been picked when we’re down to the bare bones. That’s just happened to be times when it’s been red hot so he’s been unlucky. Despite that he does look to be carrying too much weight. It’s frustrating because he’s got potential.
Peltier’s ball security is a problem as is his defence. He’s worth a place because of the impact he brings off the bench.
Like I said, at our level nobody is perfect and for me Green is worth keeping. Shame he’s gone.

This exact post could have been made 12 months ago. Hes done nothing in those 12 months to improve his shape / fitness. Leage 1 is his level along with Magrin

Given his age I'd give him another year to sort himself out. I suspect Kear's patience has run out.

I'm always willing to forgive props for a lack of agility to some degree. Those of you who still watch the SL games on Sky will have recently seen Luke Thompson cost St Helens a try because of a poor read and being slightly flat footed in the defensive line. Proof that it happens to the best of them.
Writing off a player at such a young age is madness imo. Especially if Kear is thinking of bringing in Keegan Hirst, who I can guarantee you will have the exact same issues that we have with our current props. I think Hirst might even have worse hands than Peltier.

Keegan Hirst is well below the level of player that we need at the club, and is certainly not a like for like replacement for James Green.

Majority of Wakefield fans don't have anything negative to say about Hirst. That's good enough for me.
