Unless there's a massive change of plan at Fax, it'll be one of our part time players, or possibly a full time player wanting to become p/t - but that would be rarer. So - p/t players who are out of contract - Garside?, Kirk? A few wingers - Foggin-Johnson, Ricketts, Grant? Were they all p/t?
Garside basically announced in the press today. Can't say I know much about him to be honest and there could still be another we take from you lot yet.

Been a bit in and out of the team this year. He's a good solid championship player (I don't mean that in a bad way) . He's a teacher and so is PT and you do get value for money. Forced his way into the side again recently. I would have kept him but when everyone's fit and firing he's probably behind Webster, Farrell and young Storton for the SR position. But I'd say it's a decent signing for you guys.
I believe all of the outstanding debt and CCJ's have been paid so the ban should have been lifted. Milnes has signed a new deal but that hasn't been announced yet.

Yes, that was the point really. It should have, but I've not read that is has and no announcements have actually been made.

One of the most interesting snippets in the LE interview was the admission that the player budget for 2020 will be about the same as 2019.
That suggests that they expect the fall in income from ST, sponsorship, hospitality etc to roughly match the savings gained by leaving Odsal. So not so much of a 'dividend' that some people are thinking then?
Together with mutterings about cutting down the size of the squad, not having a dedicated Reserve team, it all sounds like we are being very cautious for 2020, which might not be a bad thing. We don't yet know what the ST take-up will be, and theres' no point in risking everything on a whim.
Perhaps we will do something a bit like Leigh have done - budget for low crowds, but then use the extra income from better-than-expected crowds to bring in players as the season progresses? It doesn't seem to have worked out too badly for them - tipped for relegation by some before the season started, yet there they are firmly in the Top 5...
