Just got home and it was a valuable 2pts and with a light looking bench and 2 players in Washy & Brown that haven’t played first team rugby for a while.
Was expecting to be well behind after the start we made with the first 6 sets we made 4 errors gifting Wakey possession. Thought 2nd half we struggled a little with the withdrawal of Shaul and also already being down an interchange from the kick off.
ateotd we did enough to get the job done against a side & at a ground we struggle to get results in recent times.
Big shout to Taylor & Ellis who both did big minutes today.
Moments of the game for me was Connors pass in the first half to put Carlos & Ratu away, Ratus break out try after great work by Carlos & Sneyds try when he ran at the wakey line.
Negatives for me were the poor handling errors again and the reluctance to front up and get move up quicker on the opposition in defence rather than standing and waiting.
Frustrating game today but got the 2pts which is what counted.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Or maybe not, suffering from dizzy spells after training, due to the long flight (plus an extra trip abroad to get his visa sorted).
And "Has Shaul been hauled off?". What's that all about?
(A calf injury in case you haven't heard.)
Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?
our away form as mostly been very good this season<its the reason we are joint 2nd.home form 5 wins from 11 games is not good enough for a team chasing 2nd.
as radders said on the way back to the changing rooms at full time
2 points is 2 points!
lets worry about performance once we have a (home hopefully) play off spot confirmed!
was always going to be a banana skin today up against a desperate wakefield team, so to come away with the win with the squad we had is job done, draw a line under it and move on to next saturday v salford

Also doesnt help grow our crowds, this season has been bad for changes for SKY and weird fixture scheduling (playing Wakefield twice at home in 1 month for example) hasnt helped. Only the mauling of Rovers on Good Friday stands out as a home game to remember from this year.
Hopefully a good performance next week with the £5 kids tickets helps get the KCOM rocking again.
All those doubting Thomas's before the game Not the most entertaining or convincing of performances come full time but very pleased with the win. Again too many individual errors, which is very frustrating especially as it seems to be a common theme with us. Ratu, Carlos and Griffin impressed me today as did young Brown. And maybe Satae did not play today as he hasn't received international clearance yet.
