My hubby commentated on Widnes when they were in SL and has just told me that Johnstone is an amazing talent and in his opinion, better than Litten. Very Houghtonesque in his tackling skills so an excellent signing for cover and eventually the No9 shirt.

Seems Radford not confident with Littens defence and has gone for more defensive option with this lad.
Tony Smith recently mentioned that he was pleased with Litten in his first game but that they needed to work on his defence

Litten is and always will be an interchange Hooker to add zip..his running is his asset. Passing ain't mega (Will improve granted) but he's put on very little size since he appeared. We cannot carry a passive/weak defender. Negates having a beast pack if opposition get wins in the middle.
Johnstone seems to have a rugby brain..his assists on his highlights are eye catching,particularly from the boot. Macshane esq. Tough as in defence too..
Kind of player you could play full games around as well when Houghton out or Radders simple wants to rest him.
