Well Sam got three matches! what surprises me is Wire just one player suspended, with Catalan 5? it was the worst refereeing performance I had ever seen, two Wire players did two high tackled in quick succession each, nothing, but Hill got a yellow card?
Mamo should have recieved a red card. That's from review so was surprised the discip review did not see it that way though. To put it in perspective not every high tackle is a red. In quick succession makes no difference, a red card is on severity of an individual incident, previous offences should not effect the decision to send someone off. Never actually saw the hill yellow, only saw last 10 mins of the game, so cant compare. The tv coverage of the micky m incident was not that good.

This reminds me of a time at the Stoop and it was in reverse. Catalans dirty play started a punch up and 5 of our players were banned for between one and four matches and only one catalan play received a week ban. The ref in that game gave us nothing - not one single 50/50 decision, hence catalan knew they were immune from punishment and just played as dirty as possible and got away with it. Again the RFL sat on their brains and were unable to come to a right and proper decision

It was even worse than that. We were leading the game when the fight happened with only seconds left on the clock. Catalans scored a try to win the game from the resulting penalty!
Notwithstanding the rest of the performance be it good or bad, just remember the high tackle the shoulder charge the punch thrown is always the players decision! Phil C on sky has made a good good point, the catalan wire game, the players were the ones that lost their discipline should the clubs not bear some of that responsibility? No matter what the ref gave neither team were really interested all they wanted to do was hit the other bloke. As for the bans handed out though, didnt actually see sam throwing punches! Discip obviously saw something, more than on french tv. the incident that sparked the last ruckus, sentencing guidelines can only look at the incident not the repercussions caused by it! Maybe that needs changing. Mamo not getting anything was puzzling, as he really should have got a red for use of the head. And the ref does not have a SL game this week so MO dept have acted on how they viewed the game.
