Think you will find NB that most of us have been saying for months that allowing clubs to sign players this deep into the season is absurd. Only the dumb Richards of the RFL would think it sane. Deffo works against the promoted teams unless their owners throw silly money at it.
I would prefer to see no in season recruitment. Cover your injuries/form from reserves & academy.

All clubs near the bottom have made signings but I will agree the deadline is too late, personally I would have it early/mid July, maybe with 10 Super League games remaining.
I believe the opposite has happened and the date has been moved back this year, I wonder if this is down to Leigh and Featherstone been unable to field 17 players at the back end of last season.
Just throwing it out there that it's being suggested that it's wrong, maYbe it is maybe it isn't it's a matter of opinion, but we have just brought in an aussie fOr remainder of the season so no real basis to complain about others. Unless it was a suggestion that we shouldnt have done it either

Are you being deliberately obtuse?
It is within the laws so all can do it. A number of us feel it can disproportionately affect the season's outcome so the date for transfers should be sooner. Be interesting to see how close some teams come to breaching the cap with all this transfer activity though.
Back on thread. UNLIKELY! Castleford. They were ahead for most of the game at HKR and dropped the ball Catalan. They will have a number of players back after giving Leeds a leg up this coming weekend and will need the points to rescue 5th spot hopes. Leeds. Will have won 3 on the trot......this'll be 4 HKR. 50/50.....BUT we need to start well Wakefield. At this stage we will need to win by a hatfull......and whilst we've been well ahead twice againts them this year, we doze off.
I can see us going down on 18 points
JESUS WEPT HOW MANY TIMES????? £20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000. The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.
There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them.

It is wrong, we signed a player because we are allowed to. Transfer windows should be during the closed season and midway through the season.
My point is, folk complain about other team getting a player on loan, but make no comment about the fact we bring a player in! The suggestion being made is others shouldnt do it but it's ok when we do
Back on thread. Castleford have a few missing this weekend, so there's a chance if we can start well we might nick something

The aussie is going to have to up his game. Him and dicko were not communicating at all. Dont wish any player injury but Briscoe out for leeds is good for us, hope konrads ankle is more problematic than initially reported. Of all our remaining games I think Cas is winnable, catalans who knows they are pretty unpredictable, hopefully without tomkins they will be disorganised

I wouldn't mind losing to you on Saturday if it meant you guys staying up. No better time to play us really as our stand out player Watts is missing. Along with Minikin and Eden from the team who fell to Hull KR last week. Add to that the other shed loads of players we have out you have a real good chance.
