Fonua was one of Wests best players and his crashing run made a try for Marshall which looked like winning the game until the Eels got over in the last few minutes. He will easily retain his spot on that display. Also impressed with Corey Thompson the Tigers fullback who came back from playing at Widnes for the last couple of years.
Only watched the highlights but saw Mahe doing his wrecking ball bit for Benji's try. He's a big miss for us. Looked an entertaining watch. Glad you enjoyed it.
Great read that. Also shows our club in a great light for potential signings. The Aussie players will hear stuff like that and think yeah if I ever go to super League that's the type of fan experience I want.

That's a great piece. Mahe is of course and always will be one of the 2016 Immortals who will go down in Hull FC folklore. He epitomises everything you want from your players and if I was involved with a club in any way his story would be an integral part of young players' development. A truely inspirational figure for aspiring and seasoned players alike.
"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the (Dark) Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you."

Biggest turnstyle in defence since Thorman and time and again Steve Michaels (and others) made up for his mickey poor defence and this was clear as a bell to see at the WC. His allowing Leeds two tries that against Leeds at last years semi-final was all you need to know about this 'legend', he let as many in as he scored, poor mans Tom Lineham, who whilst not quite on a par in attack was far superior defensively.
Not surprised he hasn't secured a 1st team spot, well over rated.
