Bit more left field, Guy Armitage has signed with immediate effect until the end of next season. Im really excited about this. Watched a decent bit of him with my Union hat on. Big strong bloke, (over 6'5, nearly 18 st). PLays centre in Union and has good hands, is no slouch. Could be a great move.
To add, I have been critical of the club but will hold my hands up when they do good. Aston, Armitage, linked with Curran and Egodo. Getting Lamb in now, all good moves for me.
Good news re Olsi, he's been very impressive since returning. Gets through lot of work as part of our forwards rotation.
Curious about Armitage for a couple of reasons. Firstly, obviously, because he's a bit of an unknown. Secondly, because there is a salary cap dispensation for cross-code converts - charged at 0% in the first year and 50% in the second, but we've only got a few weeks left of this season. One to watch.

I may be wide of the mark here, but this recent action in the recruitment department may well be because we have our own destiny in our own hands with 6 games to go. 3 of those games are against teams on 18 points or below and maybe the club have begun to believe that we could do this. If we can get the points this weekend, I suspect those around us will be getting very jittery.
JESUS WEPT HOW MANY TIMES????? £20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000. The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.
There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them.

Good News! we have to just be Positive, we can do nothing, these players have to now Gel Together, we know the Team Spirit they can have, and we know Danny will get everything he can out of them! Some real important games, we have to get behind the Boys 110%
