, Hope savelio is fit soon, just the type of player we need, nice to see masi back, still think ellis looking his age but hasn't had a lot of game time latterly, Thought Kelly was brought off injured, but no it was tactical

Brain fart from faraimo for the 8 point try, thought Green played well as did Fash.[/quote]
That was so soft though, makes a joke of our game, but the rules are the rules, would like to see some common sense used!!! I honestly believe we need a new coach, I’ve nothing against Radford at all, I just don’t think he’s good enough, and the quality of players we have had and are going to have, deserve better. I’d also be happy if Radford got a decent coach to help. but, only my opinion, no malice at all

After a battle royal in Saturdays challenge cup semi defeat, we were made to back up on a Thursday which is still so unbelievably unfair for any team.
We looked lost in attack, clunky, misfiring, honestly until Tag barged over, we never threatened, plenty of chances came to nothing, what happened to the screens, ironic the game was brought forward for Sky and the paying public at the ground couldn’t see replays, etc.
Our defence like the oppositions was magnificent, and Wigan probably deserved the points, but a good effort from the boys, if a little dumb at times.

Wigan's defence was exceptional tonight there was a spell when Hull had set after set after set but still Wigan didn't crack. In the end all Hull had to show was a Taylor barge over. Closing down the Sneyd DG attempts showed real determination I haven't seen another team able to do that.
Half of Wigan's pack were teenagers but goodness they are tough and they are going to be some team next year. You didn't see it tonight but they can also play some brilliant attacking rugby.
Hull were good opponents but I think 3rd is Wigan's for the taking now.
I don’t have the advantage of watching on Sky, but Lockers, Navarrete, Isa, Powell, Farrell, Club, are hardly teenagers.

Not sure what the completion rate was but it was awful for the 2nd time in 5 days and cost us a chance of winning the game. Basic skills terrible, absolutely clueless in the opposition 20 metre area. I'm sick of seeing us turn the ball back inside time after time and forwards driving the ball in over and over late in the tackle count 10 metres from their line, Kicking terrible again and has been said we need some variety in our attacking kicks. same old, same old. We're probably the worst team in SL in the oppostition 20 and we're so negative. Taking the 2 again tonight when when we should be applying pressure. It's as if we know we won;t get over the line.
Really disappointed tonight as wigan weren't up to much
Completion rates from the Sky TV match were Hull 26/39 Wigan 28/35. Pretty even in the first half but Wigan were 16/17 in the 2nd.(Hull 15/21).
With Wigan on a form roll and playing 4 of their last 5 matches at home we are now in a real battle for 3rd place particularly due to our negative F/A points tally.

Pre match Radford said that he was hugely disappointed by the defence from attacking kicks against Warrington and they had worked hard on this for the Wigan match. The defence by Faraimo for the try was terrible. He was hopelessly out of position against a smaller player and so couldn't contest against Marshall in the catch for the ball so went for the illegal tackle magnifying his error.

It was a major factor. We had a five day turnround, Wigan had fourteen. I imagine their players had a break, a chance to get over any minor niggles. Some would've be away for a few days sunning themselves.
Those percentages were vital in such a close game, regardless of our lack of nous in offence.
Plenty of effort as usual but if Kelly and Connor aren't on form and Sneyd has a number done on him like last night then we struggle.

Probably worst I’ve seen Kelly play. Should have gone off far sooner.
Fash proving the doubters wrong but getting bagged anyway. Don’t understand what else he can do when he’s making yards, bumping players off, has the quickest ptb of the forwards, and tackles everything.

we desperately need some size and aggression in the forwards and anyone who thinks fash and lane are better options than green and hadley need to give their heads a bang. Both should have played saturday IMO
