Agree with a few others, we need a disciplined performance. I’d go with experience and be tempted to put Sutcliffe at centre for Newman. The kid has done well overall this year but played a lot of football for a 19 year old. I’d take him out of the firing line. Two big games coming up. I’d guess saints will go full tilt or close to it v us and get momentum going into cc final then rest players afterwards.

You do know hudds are fielding the youngest back line in the competition. Two 19yr olds a 20 yr old a 21 year old and Jerry. Not sure why you think Newman should miss out.

He'll want to go well against his old Newsome team mates too.

Fair points, but for mine he keeps making the same error of getting drawn onto a half or second row who is looking to get outside the inside defender and then a quick pass puts the centre clear. If it’s a tight game we cannot afford things like that. Don’t get me wrong, i’m Not saying others aren’t making errors but when it happens it usually ends in 6 points.

Newman works as a selection if we can get him into some space, he’s very good in possession.
However if we don’t then his defensive frailties are forefront.
Not a bad call Sutcliffe to centre as a better defensive pick, potentially, but it’s swings and roundabouts really. We could do with consistency in positions.
