Steve Tyrer(HX) isn't far off current average 84.4%

As I said, fantasy land, which you clearly agree with. I doubt any of the teams he's coached have had a kicker with that success rate.

As a long-standing York fan I wish you all the best for the rest of the season not all York fans dislike Bradford I personally think you brought so much to league 1 last year and the championship this year.

We have a very tough run in and a place in the top 5 is far from secure and I could see you winning every game now I think Toronto will rest players rotate till the playoffs so for us both it is a good time to play them.

Anyway good luck for the rest of the season and I think if you add more forward power to your squad you will be challenging for top spot next year.

Here are the goal-kicking percentages for the season to date.

Minchella 73%
Lilley 75%
Keyes 77%

John Kear has repeatedly said throughout the season that his goalkicker needs to be at 85-90%.

Goal kicking %s are almost meaningless without the other important variable - where the tries are scored. A player like Ethan Ryan, for instance, who excels at both corner flag finishes and also at catching high kicks to the corner, is going to have a significant detrimental impact on his goal kicker's % success rate.

Whatever the percentage, we've missed far too many "gimmees" this year. Two again against York. Need to improve

Cant see York as a gimmee, they were a better side vs us last season.

Doesn't he mean that the easy goal kicks should have been a 'gimme'?

I'm sure he did, 'cos they were. And I think the kickers concerned would have thought that too, but these things happen. It's just unfortunate when it comes back to bite you on the bum.

Incidentally, if JK actually said he wanted an 85 to 90 percent kicker in the championship I'd guess that was more like, "I would like to win the lottery" rather than something he truthfully expected to have in this division - quite a few SL clubs haven't got that standard kicker.
