Pearson’s expectations have probably gone up, give you needs to be in the top 5 now, rather than the top 8.
Not sure why you think I know different. The point of my earlier post was to suggest that dragging up a quote from 8 years ago, in isolation, is quite meaningless. After all at some point in the future it is highly probable that Radford will leave, coaches will not last for ever, yet No doubt someone will drag up a Pearson quote about LR having a safe position.

Digging up old quotes is meaningless? You'd better not let barista know that's the case

On the whole it is meaningless. It assumes the person being quoted is not allowed to change their mind or have a different opinion as time progresses.
Ill hold my hands up and say there were a couple of points in time (late 2015 being one of then and 55 minutes into the good friday derby in 2016) the I would have preferred a new coach to come in. The remainder of 2016 changed my mind on that. Even despite the woeful run we went on at the end of 2018 there were circumstances beyond Radfords control which 2016/7 had bought him leeway.
Of course, if that individual wants to stick by that original quote, then its fair game.
