Corey Johnson will most likely become the Leeds 9 for the next decade once he matured over the next year or two. It reminds me a bit of when Diskin came through - different players but you knew he was going through to first team and staying there.

Do you think Johnson will be ready in 12 months time?

Burrow was never a 9 but at delivered the ball when needed and usually ran when there was only 1 marker, he would also pass to Sinny or Maggsy on the last to kick. Dwyer throws it to whichever prop is nearest or runs sideways and kicks it for himself bizarrely.

Utterly hopeless.

His size and attributes would be better suited there IMO.

Walker will probably develop into being the full England FB within the next three years, unfortunately for Golding he's come through at the same time as him. That's just life.

He's not got quite the pace or the power for wing, or the size for hooker.

He is a good player but he probably needs to get a start at a Huddersfield or Wakefield and develop in first grade for someone else.

I buy that, playing Golding at 7, he played all his junior rugby at Stanningley at either 6 or 7, yes I am a Golding fan , he also can play 9 as well as fullback, a good player to have around the squad. Some at the club do not rate him, so unfortunately that's that.
Regarding Walker being England's full back in the next three years, although he is a great prospect, he is light years away from Zac Hardaker in terms of being number 1 in that position, he will I feel only get his shirt if ZH gets injured or banned again :D

I think he could be if he works hard yes.

It was a fad for a long time to spell your hookers (so us with Burrow - Dwyer is another throwback to that philosophy) but personally I prefer 80 min hookers.

I think Johnson could give us that 80 min hooker again which frees up an interchange spot.

Fair point re. Zak - when on his game he’s brilliant. Such a shame about his temperament.

chapylad wrote:I say it tongue in cheek as surely you must know by my previous posts I`m a Golding fan and feel he hasn`t been given a fair crack even when Walker was out injured.
To play the like of Lolohea and Sutcliffe at FB ahead of Golding is embarrassing.
I like Walker don`t get me wrong and I`m sure he will be one for the future and he looks reasonably good in a poor Leeds team.
Probably better than Golding yes but like I say I`m bigging Golding up as a fan of his.

Totally agree - give him a go !

Like Dwyer, even his own players didn't know what Rangi Chase was going to do, but he was an X factor player. I'm not saying Dwyer's in the same class, but we currently have few X factor players. Of course he's frustrating, but basic play isn't going to cut it. I appreciate his enthusiasm, and would rather see him trying things than Mclelland going AWOL after 20 mins.

But really, point taken.

Back about talking about the game please and I cannot believe there hasn't been any fish puns as yet either.
