Houghton is a great player. Am not blaming Houghton just don't think he makes a good captain on the field. He just doesn't talk to the team. There's no geeing up etc. I know people will say he leads by example and I get that but he doesn't fire the team up.

Hence why I said close to being World class he has everything but speed.

speed for halfs is not a must nowadays,lots of top nrl halfbacks aren't speedy.thurston didn't possess any pace,neither does widdop.
