I said on the virtual terrace before the season started that the new rule changes play right into our hands. Holbrook has built the fittest most athletic pack in SL and no other team are fit enough to match our intensity. Warrington tried last week but couldn’t. We can keep it going for 80 minutes as we have no old school type impact props. We don’t need them. The game has changed but other teams haven’t adapted yet

Which of our pack would get in Saints team, maybe only Taylor, but even thats doubtful on current form.
Think Radford sees this and with hopefully 4 new forwards, full off season for Bowden and Savelio, Griffin in the forwards. Another year for Lane and Masi hopefully this will improve our pack.
Why is it though Dave, playing against a dominant pack we still took them on up the middle with predominantly 1 out rugby? The only real time we threw the ball around we scored. Now is that coaching and game plan or players mindset? Whichever unfortunately it's been an all too common thread through Radford's tenure. Holbrook was pitch side 2nd half giving instructions directly to Wellens and players alike, geeing them up even when they'd just waltzed through our defence and scored.

Said it so many times. We need to exploit the referees who cannot keep up with the pace of SL. Saints did it excellently last night (as well as everything else). That level of rugby deserves better officiating. Hopefully we find some of our cup magic again and we can meet them at Wembley for a real classic.
Ultimately once again we were our own worst enemy. We really are a very good but very dumb squad.
On the bright side, I’ve had a shiite week and unloading it all on Kendall et al has helped no end

Agree 100% Good support player is Shaul, but his ability to pass and create an overlap is sadly lacking. Our attack looks more cohesive, with either Connor,or Wynne at FB.. With Westerman leaving, our attack next season will be unbalanced, with only 2 pivots..if Shaul is FB..

I'm not sure it makes much difference who full back is when the ball they receive is slow and telegraphed to the opposition like it invariably is

The 2nd try, by Fages looks like a knock-on on the challenge in the air. The 4th try, by Grace was a knock-on and offside, and the 3rd try, by Coote is debatable whether Sneyd was tackled without the ball and was Naiqama onside?
These amateur, park game rules need to be sorted out. We can't play some games using a video referee and some games not. It's a different set of rules, for different teams, for different games.
