Radford alluded to the fact that there will be heightened expectations next year due to the (unannounced) signings. I take that to mean they’ll be quality ones coming in.

I'd agree with the hooker point, but Houghton's played through us losing Cunningham, Hodgson and now Litten so nothing's changed there.
You're willfully ignoring that we've already said we're signing 3 NRL forwards. Of course there's an imbalance if you're not taking our recruitment into consideration. It's griping about absolutely nothing. The best teams only have around 7 top line forwards (if that) before they're drawing on their squad players and youths.
I'm not ignoring anything. There are 4 gaps there even with a converted centre in the back row and you're saying were signing 3. We currently have more than 7 top line forwards and our pack isnt good enough so were into inexperienced players in the first choice 17 but will have outside backs on decent salaries sat in the stands

Lets not forget Sao can play prop too, i fully expect kelly to drop into looseforward and Sao to revert to prop during games
Too much jittery panicking going on
Who's panicking? Were merely debating squad balance based on rumoured signings

Rumoured to be going to Salford next season (and I know he's spent time on loan there - so that might have given them an edge), but he's just the type of impact forward I think we need - ala Pritchard - plus he seems to have played quite big minutes in recent games.
If we signed him it'd also stop him scoring against us, we can't seem to find any other way to stop it.

I agree said we should of signed him 4/5 years ago when he wanted to travel as a lay preacher and was then injury free and a lot fitter only Mrs B agreed to take him on as a project. He's big but lacks a bit of fitness.

Our existing pack may be good enough to win the Challenge cup, and we're trying to upgrade for next season. Saints are playing a converted centre at 2nd row (Peyroux) and usually have a couple of young squad forwards on the bench like Ashworth and Bentley, and across the league it's pretty much the same. My argument isn't that more big name forwards wouldn't be nice, just that we're no different than any other team.
The words of fools mean nothing to one who resides in the truth.
If we lose both green and Paea , and only sign 1 prop surely that leaves us poorer come next season in the front row . Plus we still haven’t replaced watts . Ok it looks like the back row will be stronger and better , but it was only a few months ago people were complaining on here about us not strengthening the pack for this season and how weak it is and not enough etc .

Front row is the big problem. We struggle against teams with big props who invariably get a roll on against us
