I think tonight will show whether we've managed to find the mental toughness required to stay at the top of our game. It would be easy for the players to take a mental break, on the back of the last game and the fact that there is now a 4 point cushion to fourth. If we remain focused, we should be winning this, not necessarily easily, but we should win.

I take exception to the term “inbreds”, neither of my parents who were married at the time of my conception, get it, were from East Hull. In fact I once considered moving to Kingswood silly I know, but Mummy swore she would disown me if I moved across the River.

I will never be truly happy until their team is destroyed, their swamp bulldozed and the earth salted so nothing will ever grow there again.
FORCED to merge, as you say their then chairman vetoed FC dropping down a league but don’t let the truth get in the way of a good lie. They’ll be telling us they own their own ground next.

Do you feel the same way about the other clubs that voted the same way?

I don’t think our then chairman held a veto. It was a majority decision of the clubs affiliated with the RFL (which at the time did not include SL), iirc.
Shall I dig out a Tim Wilby quote.
You’ll have to forgive me, this has been the only good part of most derby days for me since around mid-2015.
Btw, I meant to thank you for saying I sometimes ramble on - that was very generous.
