Not that it matters much, but I feel like the Sky commentators and pundits don’t feel that we’re offering much to the SL storyline. I’d struggle to argue otherwise, as we’ve been poor in a tepid kind of way for quite a while. So we tend to be cast in the role of opponent, and the commentary represents the perspective of whoever we’re playing against because that is the more engaging narrative.
So, while I am biased, 1. So to some degree are the Sky team, in wanting the more interesting story and 2. They quite often chat cack to that end. At least it isn’t as extreme as their coverage of the EPL, where 2 thirds of the league are treated more or less like the Washington Generals.
