Don't see the logic in bringing Fonua back if we have Faraimo & Naulago signed up for next season as we need forwards as we short in that area, even with the recent form of Paea its an area that needs improving. Having another outside back particularly taking a quota spot just wouldn't make sense as we need to maximise the cap and quota so the main part of it is in the 17 each week. If we signed Fonua it would mean we would have two players who would be on a fair amount sat in the stand and at lest one of them being a quota spot which would be a complete waste.
Don't follow the logic of moving Griffin from centre in to the second row either as his form this season has been very good (despite what some think).
So bringing Fonua in would leave us short unless at least one of the current outside backs is leaving and he would be a replacement.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Someone told me about this yesterday and I was sceptical. Apparently the Fariamo signing was only announced by the HDM and not the club so its not done. I can't say I remember that but I went back to the club website and I can't see a news article about it.

Has everyone just forgotten that Mahe is as much a centre as he is a winger? He's played centre 7 times for Tonga, 19 times for Melbourne, 9 times for Wests and 33 times there for Hull. We rarely ever have a game when all of our starting threequarters are fit anyway. It's an absolute no brainer of a signing if we could pull it off! He's also genuine proven quality compared to the risk factor involved in any overseas signing.

This! Fonua is absolute box office. Him and Michaels on our right edge were outstanding. Move Griffin to second row to replace Mini, Josh Jones on the other side to replace Manu. Tuimavave on the left centre, Fonua on the right with Naulago outside him. Faraimo and swift to battle it out on the left. If we can get Fonua to come back, I'd pay his air fare!

Where does Jake Connor fit into all this if we keep Kelly alongside Sneyd & assuming we use a 3rd prop at 13 which is likely.
