I really hope it works out for Burrell but hes got a lot of work to do. Goodwin has been simply phenomenal in the last 2 games - unfortunately that'll be because hes sorted out his future back in Oz. Bryson is incredibly strong and has really good skills. Potentially losing Atkins as well - who is still a very good centre. So we have King and Burrell with maybe Mamo able to cover. If Burrell struggles then ....... He's bound to make mistakes. I just hope he's mentally strong enough to take that on board (and the undoubted criticism he'll receive on forums....)

Well, it's not unbelievable. SP has been impressed with him for a few weeks now, and at some point he is going to have to play the game to pick up the knowledge and experience. The sooner that happens the better prepared he will be for the business end of the season. Off the bench perhaps ?

....what better to throw him straight in at the deep end? Also gives us the one up, being prepared to do something that Saints dare not...it's a win win. It comes off he's hailed...it doesn't...he's progressing.

I’m all for giving him a go, but is a game likely to be played at an intense speed the one to do it in? Then there is the issue of penalties coming from not knowing the niceties of the game and finally who would you drop, and why?
Just my opinions unless it's a FACT, in which case it's a fact.

All valid points but he would have obviously been working on this in training, so Price must think he's ready.
Maybe off the bench? He's big enough to do minutes up the middle.

The guy is a season plus match fit and an ex England international. He ought to be body ready...
The question of lack of fitness has never been an issue out of the club...only line structure mainly for defence.
