Westerman is the only real big loss from those listed.
The two kiwis rumoured are gambles although Sao getting very good reviews this year.
Depth and leadership are the big concerns IMO.
Motu oversaw our last recruitment drive and came up trumps, no reason for me to doubt his judgement or the club, if the rumours are correct, that he is doing the deals now.

22 tackles, 6 tackle busts, 158 metres from 18 runs (9 meters gain), no errors and 5 offloads.
I'm not sure any of our backrowers are cable of those stats.
Can't wait to see him play with the likes of Shaul, Connor and Kelly.
Jones is an excellent signing. Will be in the top 5 signings that anyone makes for 2020 imo. The likes of Thompson and Glenn would have been nice, but you never quite know what you are going to get with players like that. Are they just coming for a holiday/top up the pension. With Jones you know you have a proven SL player with his best years still to come.
I don't know very much at all about Sao and Satae, but players like that are often the ones that do really well over here. You have to have something about you to get game time in the NRL in the first place, and they are coming here in their mid 20's still hungry and looking to make a name for themselves. They might not sell season passes, but they could prove to be very astute signings.
on the Leeds forum someone is stating they are back in for Connor in a big way, with the promise of the number 6 shirt.
I would be devastated if that is true. Would people be happy to potentially lose Connor, because we won't move Kelly, or because he cannot get an NRL deal?

Devastated to lose Connor, I'd rather release Kelly or move him to 13.
If he moved to an NRL club then fair enough, just .ca t see why he would move to Leeds at this moment.
Connor won't leave unless it's to the NRL, definitely not to Leeds who are battling relegation pretty often these days. I could see him leaving at the end of his contract if offered ridiculous money somewhere, but there's no chance we would sell.
Connor will end up in the NRL. Won’t waste his time signing for relegation fodder. Judging on how Leeds are playing they’ll be dropping down at seasons end. Both Dobbins and London have more chance of staying up.

Our backrow will be
Jones Savelio Sao
Which looks good, but little back up and no leader.
Didn't Satae replace Tohu Harris in the 2nd row against Melbourne last week? With Ellis playing on we have a leader for half the games, and I don't really consider Mini or Manu leaders so no real loss. We've got Jordan Lane and still at least 2 more players to recruit. With us looking pretty good at this stage of the season anyway, I think things are looking pretty positive.
The words of fools mean nothing to one who resides in the truth.
