Similar standard team but a >50% win ratio verses <50% but in a higher league?
Do we know for sure that he got any better offers? I know it was mentioned that Castleford were 'interested', but who knows if they actually followed up on it.
I realise we all think that Ethan is the greatest thing since sliced bread, and every SL team would be fortunate to have him, but perhaps that's not the general view? Perhaps HKR were the only SL team to make an actual offer, and it was either them or stay with us?

He's moving to super league. Regardless of the team I really don't know how you can say it's a lack of ambition. We will be in this division for a long time yet so staying with us meant staying in the Championship.
Yeah that's about right. He's jumping to a club that might or might not be in Super League, from a team that definitely will NOT be in Super League for two or three years at least.

HKR are in a relegation fight, we are in a fight for promotion. Dress it up how you want, "we're not ready, KR Won't go down, Yadda Yadda Yadda"
Fact of the matter is above, and there's as much chance as any of those scenarios playing out than not playing out.
One assumes that his contract will have a clause about Super League. And just like when he didn't end up going to Leigh, I expect he wouldn't go to Hull KR if they get relegated.

Did you think London would go up, did you think we would beat Leeds?
It's sport, it's not the luck of the draw. We've as much chance as anybody from 3 to 8 of making the playoffs and then making the final. We make the final then the best team in the day goes to SL.

I would imagine Ethan thinks if he can prove himself as a SL class winger then he will always have better offers, whatever happens.
I'm sure he could have joined a SL club long before now and all credit to him for his loyalty to us. But as has already been said, he won't be in SL with us any time soon and it isn't really fair to expect a lad with dreams and ambitions to play at least another couple of years at lower level, with no guarantees. For me, he has more than done his time, and done us all proud.

I cannot disagree with this, although that might just be because he isn't exactly setting the Championship on fire right at this moment in time.
For one reason or another he is lacking form and confidence. That might be due to being switched to full back, or could be that he has his head somewhere else. For me, whatever it is I would strongly encourage him to sort himself out as he is being paid to do a job this season and isn't doing it that well.
Don't think i'm biased...
...i'm just very narrow minded!!!!!!!
