With it being that time of year, it's been very quiet regarding rumours of potential signings for next year. In fact I've not heard a single one yet. Anyone else heard anything on the grape vine?

Easy for SL clubs to start planning now when they already know their central funding allocation for next year. I've never quite understood how us lower league clubs are supposed to do it without making some (potentially risky) assumptions.

Tough one this.
My opinion is to try keep hold of our young starlets, shed some of the middle earning fringers (how many do we thing there are? 5-6?) and bring in an older head or 2. We lack that leadership and wise head sometimes.
Yes a smaller squad leaves us potentially exposed if injuries occur, but to be honest, I would prefer to let the academy lads have a go.
Bringing in 1 or 2 wouldn't be as impactful as the team we saw on weds

It depends
If we are seeing 2020 as another season of building and developing our own players, then we don't really need much of a turnover. Shed a few of the 'squad' type players (people like Ashley Gibson, Jon Magrin etc), promote younger players into those slots - and we should be set for middle to upper level of this division.
Or are we going to make a serious assault on promotion? With Toronto likely to be out of this division, quite probably replaced by London (who aren't going to be spending massively) then we could theoretically be in the mix to get promotion along with them, and probably Leigh, Widnes, Featherstone etc. We'll have more central funding than we had this season, and we've banked money from the Cup run this season - so, yeah, why not see about signing some real quality and giving it a go next year?
