It will be interesting to see if there is a replacement appointment - either a statement of intent, or a sign we're looking to save money?

Big blow. Hopefully the systems he's put in place continue. There's a lot of unsung hero's in the academy development. It's the key to us rebuilding.

Be interesting how John finds the joint academy Hull have. Hasn't really seemed to have produced many players IMO big signing for KR though.

I think I saw something about how they're getting rid of that and going back to separate academies for both clubs. Which makes Bastian's signing make more sense

We were lucky that John stuck with us through the administrations and liquidations. His legacy at the club will be felt for many more years. A huge loss for the club.

People move clubs all the time, and John Bastian has done so much for Bradford that if he feels he needs a new challenge then that’s ok.
But, going forwards, he’s generated a lot of stats/data on local juniors. How can Bradford (can Bradford) protect their intellectual property?

Chamlers has confirmed JB will be replaced:

I can't for the life of me work out why anybody from Bradford Bulls would want to move to KR other than for more cash.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. At this stage
t here is a real strong chance that KR will be in the Championship next season. It hardly screams of job security or ambition to me.

West Hull best U16s team, all their best players are at Castleford academy. That Hull academy was definitely not doing its job

The joint academy is coming to an end.

That’s why imo it’s a good opportunity for John if the salary is right. He gets to create a new academy from scratch.

Though your point is valid when it comes to players. If Ethan Ryan goes there he’s stupid. He’s good enough for superleague but signing for them he’ll just end up playing in the same division as us next season. Only for a smaller club.
