John Kear made a huge call and he needs to prove he made the right one in the long run. He has a long way to go before I'm convinced, and I still don't think Lilley will ever come good.

I suspect there's more to it than that but I've only heard rumours and have no proof so won't be putting anything on here.

So this 18 man squad - is this a case of having so few players available? If so, how?

Would anybody wanna guess what our back line might look like?

Presumably Joe Brown will be added to that 18?

Otherwise why only name 18, when they could have simply put in Foggin-Johnson, if injured, then Josh Rickett?

Well well well. Alix Stephenson in for Peltier in a late change.

I think there are mind games going on here - Fev put out a tweet comparing Chisholm and Lilley's stats since Chizzy has been in the UK (obviously didn't look good for Lilley).

Does anyone else find our team selections strange? Wea probably have the biggest squad in the league and have a full back/half back on the wing, our most effective backrower playing centre and our impact prop is taken ill so we replace him with a full back playing his first game!!!!

Very strange - Kear talked about selecting a team based upon the tactical approach employed especially taking into account the weather. I'd have thought swapping out a front rower for an inexperienced pivot at the 11th hour flies in the face of the intended tactical approach!
